Euro Champs Spotlight: Paris Roller Derby – All Stars
The big freeze has been and gone. All that maths is finally over, and the invitations to the 2026 WFTDA European Championships in Namur have been sent. Between now and the first whistle on 12 June, we are going to be shining a spotlight on the incredible Euro Derby Dozen who will be descending on Belgium. In absolutely no particular order, this series will break down the strategies, the identities, and the unsung heroes of Europe’s elite, hearing from the teams and skaters themselves.
Reclaiming the national crown for the first time since their inaugural title win a full decade ago in 2016, the All Stars proved they aren’t just slipstreaming. They took the chequered flag by systematically overtaking the nation’s best. Fresh off this historic domestic milestone and a high-stakes final tune-up weekend in London, this French & Furious roster is primed to redline the Euros.
Here is the essential intel on the powerhouse from Paris:
Home City: Paris, France
Euro Seed: #3

Team Colours: Blue and White
Vibe: PARIS BRINGS PASSION!

Strategy: It’s All About Family
Paris enters the postseason with a clear, unified objective: executing a collective performance where the team functions as a single, finely-tuned machine. Their preparation over the last few months hasn’t been about relying on solo skaters looking for glory; it has been a meticulous grind to ensure the entire crew moves in perfect synch.
“Our main goal is really to show that our strength comes from this team cohesion,” the team shared, treating their roster less like a lineup and more like an F1 team, dropping defensive strategies and offensive support lines with flawless timing.
Ultimate proof of this high-speed harmony was on full display during their championship run in April. On Day 1, Paris handled immense pressure to outlast a fierce challenge from regional heavyweights Nantes Duc.hesse.s, locking in a 149-114 victory to book their spot in the final.
Twenty-four hours later, they dropped the hammer in a tactical masterclass against the undisputed titans of French derby, dethroning Nothing Toulouse with a definitive 132-97 statement win to hoist the trophy.
To ensure their engine stayed firing on all cylinders after the emotional high of that tournament, Paris immediately took their show across the Channel for a “Weekend at Brawling’s“.
A devastatingly effective trip, securing a massive 227-106 win against London Brawling before lining up on the track in a highly anticipated, sanctioned closed-door game against Rainy City. While Paris took a tight 177-143 loss to the UK giants, their only blemish of a high-speed weekend, the competitive scoreline proved they can confidently go wheel-to-wheel with anyone in Europe.
As the team noted, “The games in London were the final step in our preparation for Regionals. We’ve worked really hard this season, and we can see that it’s paying off. We can also see that there’s still work ahead of us, but we’re definitely on the right track!“

Identity: Shifting Gears
Ask the All Stars to define their signature style, they’ll tell you it’s a beautiful mix of structured frustration and explosive freedom. On the defensive side, Paris deploys a notoriously solid and compact wall structure that acts like an unshakeable roadblock, suffocating opposing jammers, denying apex lines, and burning valuable jam clock time.
The sheer horsepower of this defensive identity was highlighted heading into the critical Super Seven weekend in March 2026. At the time, Paris was ranked #4 in Europe with a 271.71 GPA, sitting just 18.13 points behind the #3 seed (Crime City). They completely obliterated that gap during the Antwerp Triple Header.
With sheer dominance, Paris defeated Crime City Rollers 216-91 and went on to defeat Antwerp One Love 196-66. Against Crime City, their positional blocking directly off the starting line was incredibly effective, forcing their opponents into a desperate position of making 14 star passes just to get out of the pack. Paris locked down the track to secure Lead Jammer 33 times compared to Crime City’s 14, successfully leapfrogging them to take the #3 spot in the European rankings and firmly cementing themselves in the elite Breakaway Pack.
When the star is on their side, they change the setup completely. Living their lives two-minute jams at a time, Paris boasts a jammer rotation where each skater brings a totally distinct choice of racing style to the track, giving their bench coaches a versatile toolkit to blast past whatever red flag scenario their opponents are trying to use to slow them down. Binding it all together is the foundational ethos of the league:
“PARIS BRINGS PASSION!“

Unsung Heroes: Fast & Furious Blockers
While the jammers often capture the headlines for their lightning laps, Paris’s true structural power lies in a terrifying trio of defensive anchors. The European derby community needs to be on high alert for Gipsy, Halo, and Bully.
These fast and furious blockers possess a lethal combination of strength, speed, and track agility that allows them to intercept opponents anywhere on the circuit. They specialise in lateral coverage, drifting across lanes to shut down recycling routes in the blink of an eye.
As the team warns: “Just when you think you’ve made it out of the pack, watch out not to get knocked out of bounds!“.
The perfect crew for a high-speed heist.

Postseason History: Parisian Track Record
First Timers (2018): Paris officially burst onto the international tournament circuit in 2018, securing a spot at the WFTDA Playoffs in A Coruña, Spain. Entering the bracket as the #11 seed, they battled through a gruelling weekend against the absolute top tier of global competition. While they ultimately finished outside the medals after losing both games, the experience laid down the tracks for their future ascent.
Malmö Rally (2024): Following the regional competitive reset, Paris emerged with a serious engine upgrade. At the 2024 European Regional Championships in Malmö, they secured an iconic, nail-biting 124-122 victory over Rainy City All Stars. That dramatic two-point win still stands today as the closest game margin in the team’s history.
Euro Champs, Namur (2026): Arriving in Belgium as a bona fide top-tier threat, the newly minted French Champions have officially traded their underdog history for a spot in the region’s elite Breakaway Pack. By finally reclaiming the French Elite Championship crown in an unforgettable final against Toulouse, Paris has proven they have the tactical endurance and mental composure to drive all the way to the top of the podium.
Namur Forecast: Final Lap
While Paris is entirely focused on executing their own playbook, they are also heading to Belgium with a profound sense of community. They are highly anticipating the tournament runs of their long-time peers, expressing immense respect for the resilience of the teams sharing the track.
“We can’t wait to see our friends from Lomme & Crime City Rollers on the track,” the team shared. “We know the season hasn’t been the easiest for either team, but we also know they’re both capable of bouncing back and showing just how incredible they are!“
With a tight European landscape and a bracket loaded with explosive matchups, Paris is ready to let their passion do the talking as they chase the ultimate trophy.
